MetaSprint Series is offering every registered participant a complimentary training programme designed by expert coaches.
The training programme includes two virtual training sessions with audio coaching, for both the Aquathon and Duathlon, to do when and where you want, aimed to guide you in your training and help you get race ready. You will use the MyRaceGate app to lead the session, provide coaching tips and encouragement.
To see improvement in your running, it is essential to alternate the slow steady runs with interval sessions. Not only does it add variety to your training but it helps you burn fat, build muscle, and improve your cardiovascular system.
The programme will introduce you to two different sessions to build into your training.
Required items for each session: your phone and (preferably) a headset.
Make sure that you’ve had something to eat and drink about 45-60 mins before the start of your session.
Session #1: The Basics
Dates: 28 & 29 January 2023 (at a time of your choice)
Duration: 30 mins
This session will take you through the basics of running. Think posture, arm swings, lengthening your stride – all under the watchful eye of coach Wille. It’s entertaining and informative!
Session #2: Tempo and Pacing
Dates: 11 & 12 February 2023 (at a time of your choice)
Duration: 40 mins
Tempo Runs are moderate-to-hard intensity training runs to be sustained for 20 to 40 minutes. If you have been trying to figure out how to run faster, this session will help build your lactate threshold (LT), which is critical for running faster. Coach Wille will be in your ear encouraging you all the way!
