*On race day when you cross the finish line in the MetaSprint Series Triathlon you will receive the finisher’s medal that was originally produced for the 2020 triathlon event. For us, delivering the 2020 MetaSprint Series Triathlon that was postponed due to Covid-19 will be a triumph. It’s a triumph for our business, to have navigated the pandemic and still be here today to deliver the event we promised you 12 months ago. It’s a triumph for our team, who have stuck with us through the highs and lows. It’s a triumph for you as athletes who believed in us, who kept training hard and will turn up to achieve your personal goals one year later. Yes, we could have re-ordered new medals that state 2021, but the feeling of awarding you a 2020 medal when you cross the line is much bigger than a date. It’s a collective celebration that we all survived, and that the past 12 months have shaped us but not defined us. We will sincerely enjoy handing these medals out to you, and we hope that you will also understand and value the emotion of receiving it.
